After quite a long hiatus from writing (and rather serious changes in my personal life, which you can observe from changes in my avatar 😉 ), I'm coming back to publishing my thoughts. This time it will be much more C++-oriented.
And the first thing to expect - I will start publishing draft chapters from my and Dmytro Ivanchykhin's upcoming book, tentatively titled "Efficient C++ Programming for Modern 64-bit CPUs" (with ~200 practical hints on de-pessimization). As usual, whenever I am involved 😉, expect a lot of opinionated RL-based advice. OTOH, if you can prove we're wrong (we're sure that out of 200 items, we did make a mistake or three) - we'll be happy to fix the book (and acknowledge you in it too).
Stay tuned for parts of Chapter 4, "On CPU Physics and CPU Cycles".
